Conversation: Racism in Canada

As part of a wrap up for February’s Black History Month, I was invited by Adenike Orimoloye, a former colleague to participate in a conversation about racism in Canada, specifically, to be the Caucasian voice; initially I resisted because traditionally there have been enough white voices suppressing important BIPOC voices, however the person who invited me insisted that she wanted to have my perspective.

I feel grateful to have been able to share and learn with Adenike and Olive Musinguzi and looking forward to continuing to educate myself and dig into these necessary conversations that apply universally on this continent. This will only help me broaden my understanding for my coaching, but beyond that, just on a human to human level.

We must not remain silent any longer. We can all be agents of change. Join this necessary conversation and ask yourself how you can make things better.Share ...
